Automatic Machine Products has a proud history of providing components to the Defense and Aerospace industries, continuing to this day.

Automatic began making primers for artillery shells in 1940. By war’s end, Automatic was a nationally recognized ammunition manufacturer and had become the largest primer supplier in the country.  On Saturday, August 29, 1942, the Army/Navy “E” pennant was raised over Automatic signifying the outstanding work in production of materials vital to the successful prosecution of the national effort – the first screw machine Company in the country to be so honored, and it went on the earn four stars to the pennant.
